DAYCARE POLICIES

A one time registration fee of $50.00 is charged at time of enrollment. This along with a deposit of the last weeks tuition will hold a place for your child for up to 4 weeks with an agreed upon starting date.

State regulations require that all immunizations be up to date and all forms be completely filled out before a child can enter care. All forms are subject to a yearly renewal and must be kept up to date.

HOURS

Monday – Friday 6:30 am. - 6:00p.m.

Overtime charges of $1.00 per minute will be charged after 6.00p.m. No Exceptions!

Extended Hours: Commuters may want to add a half hour to the day.  This will help reduce the amount of overtime charges if you think you may be late on more than just a few occasions, or require additional time for commuting

I charge half tuition fees for annual family vacations of up to two weeks a year, only when one months notice is given in writing. Otherwise the parent will be charged full price in order to hold the child’s place in childcare.

Parents do not pay for providers sick or vacation days since the parent must pay an alternate provider. Provider will give one-month notice for vacations.

Parents do pay provider 3 days bereavement in the event of a loss of child, parent, sibling, niece or nephew of either her or her husband’s family.

I will supply food for nutritious meals and snacks for all children in my care. If your child is on a special diet, you must provide their food.

Only parents who have children on a special diet may bring food to daycare as you may not be aware of children’s allergies.

I will be happy to help you celebrate your child’s birthday, please let me know ahead of time if you plan on bringing any food or treats to daycare. Feel free to plan the entire party here at daycare if you are available for set up and break down.

I need to know how many children I will be cooking for, if you are late, please call.

ILLNESSES, ACCIDENTS  AND MEDICATIONS

Parents should notify me if a child has been ill during the last 24 hours, even if the illness occurs on the weekend. Please inform me of any communicable diseases when they occur in your family. This does not mean they can not attend; I just want to watch for symptoms.

Medications, including over the counter medications, can only be administered with written permission from your doctor with a dosage amount. I do not give medication to children for fever. Children with a fever of 100 degrees or higher should not attend childcare.

Parents or another responsible adult will be called should your child become ill while in my care and will need to be picked up ASAP as not to expose the other children any more than necessary.

Please keep your children home whenever there is a fever of 100 degrees, diarrhea, vomiting, or bad cough. Call me if you have questions whether you should bring your child.

Scratches and scrapes are inevitable when children play. They will be washed out with a mild soap and protected with a bandage. If a child should need immediate medical attention, an ambulance will be called. Parents should be aware that they are responsible for all emergency transportation and medical bills incurred.

MISCELLANEOUS  ITEMS

Communication, Communication, Communication. When this breaks down problems begin. Please feel free to talk to me about anything. I will always try and work with you.

Please do not send your child in bare feet. Even on warm days shoes are needed for outdoor play. I prefer closed toe shoes to protect feet.

Bring your children in street clothes. No P.J.’s please. Infants who are not walking may be brought in sleeper type clothing.

Time out, positive reinforcement, and redirection are the only methods of discipline I use. I will redirect and give warnings before using time out.

Biting is a natural toddler behavior, but can cause serious wounds.  I will work closely with parents to correct this behavior but excessive biting is cause for termination of contract.

All persons picking up children must have written authorization to do so. Please inform your family members of this strictly enforced rule.

I do not allow toys from home! Please do not allow your child to bring them into the house. Children have a hard time with sharing toys that belong to them. A small naptime animal or blanket is OK.
